Ordertune Bridge — Terms of Service
Version: bridge-tos-v1 Effective from: 2026-07-25
These terms govern the use of the Ordertune Bridge, a client-side software provided by Ordertune to connect a user-operated Interactive Brokers account to the signal offering of the t1.ordertune.com platform.
1. Roles and legal framework
- Ordertune is a pure signal provider. Ordertune does not provide investment advice, does not manage assets and does not perform portfolio management within the meaning of §32 (1) KWG (German Banking Act).
- The user decides independently on the execution of each signal. Order initiation happens on the Bridge software operated and controlled by the user; the user bears the entire market risk.
- Interactive Brokers is the broker where the user maintains their account. Ordertune has no access to the user's IBKR credentials.
2. Release model (two-mode system)
Ordertune only forwards signals to the Bridge that the user has previously explicitly released.
In the current version there is one release mode:
Per-signal release (default): The user confirms each individual signal via the checkbox in the /order-management page. The release is valid until execution by the Bridge or until it is revoked.
Every release is logged with timestamp, IP address and user agent. The user expressly consents to this logging.
3. Bridge software and operation
- The Bridge is open source software (MIT license), published under https://github.com/Ordertune/bridge-ibkr.
- The user is solely responsible for operating the Bridge on a Windows VPS they provide themselves.
- The Bridge exclusively communicates with (a) the local IBKR endpoints (TWS / IB Gateway on
127.0.0.1) and (b) the Ordertune API endpoints under/api/bridge/v1/*. - IBKR credentials are stored exclusively in TWS or IB Gateway on the user's VPS. Ordertune never receives these credentials.
4. Security features
- Each Bridge instance is authenticated via an access token generated from 256 bits of cryptographic entropy. The token is stored only as a SHA-256 hash on the Ordertune server.
- Additionally, a hardware fingerprint (SHA-256 hash of hostname, CPU id and MAC address) is bound to the Bridge connection. An access attempt from different hardware leads to automatic suspension.
- The user can revoke or rotate their access token at any time via the Ordertune web interface.
- Ordertune will notify the user via email if the Bridge is offline for more than five minutes during US market hours.
5. Position sizing and sizing drift
The Bridge computes the order quantity (Qty) for each signal based on the sizing configuration the user set in Settings (Fixed-Base or Full-Equity with a percentage share) and the current live equity in the IBKR account.
If the quantity determined by the Bridge deviates by more than 5% from the server-computed quantity (e.g. because of intermediate account changes), the order is automatically rejected. The user then has to re-release in the web interface.
6. Disclaimer of liability
- All signals, calculations and analyses by Ordertune are provided without warranty. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.
- Ordertune is not liable for losses arising from the execution of signals in the user's account.
- The fills, prices and commissions actually executed in the IBKR account are solely authoritative — the values displayed on Ordertune serve only as an overview and are not a tax-relevant statement.
- The user declares to have understood the functioning of the Bridge and the risks associated with it.
7. Data processing
The processing of the hardware fingerprint (SHA-256 hash of hostname, CPU id, MAC address) is done to prevent abuse, in particular to prevent account sharing. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) f GDPR — legitimate interest.
The account snapshots transferred by the Bridge (cash, equity, open positions) are processed exclusively to provide the contractually agreed service and are stored with a retention of 7 days in the heartbeat log.
Details see Privacy Policy.
8. Termination
The user can revoke the Bridge connection at any time. Orders already forwarded by the Bridge to IBKR remain unaffected and are completed according to IBKR rules.
Upon termination of the Ordertune subscription, the Bridge connection is automatically ended.
9. Changes
Material changes to these terms are announced to the user by email with a notice period of 30 days. To continue using the Bridge the user must consent to the new version.
10. Applicable law
German law applies. Place of jurisdiction is the seat of the provider.
